Scholarships and Awards

There are several language scholarships available to Richmond students who demonstrate either merit or need. In particular, scholarships are provided to students who might otherwise not be able to participate in a study abroad program during the summer, the semester or the academic year. Some scholarships are co-sponsored with the Department of Latin American, Latino, & Iberian Studies.

The deadline for submitting an application for study during the 2024-2025 academic year is Thursday, February 15, 2024, at midnight.

Once a student submits the application, a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of the application will be sent by June Wise in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures or Sarah Helen Studebaker in LALIS within 48 hours. Students will be notified of departmental decisions in March.
